Overview
Lane Duplechin, SRA, AI-RRS, is a certified residential real estate appraiser and owner of Acadiana Appraisals & Consulting, LLC. Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, Lane is a graduate of Louisiana State University and has been serving the Acadiana region since 2013, completing over 4,500 appraisal assignments across Lafayette, Iberia, Vermilion, St. Landry, and St. Martin Parishes.
Lane holds the SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute one of the most rigorous credentials in residential appraisal and the AI-RRS designation in residential review work. He has completed the Appraisal Institute’s Litigation Professional Development Program and has experience with expert witness testimony, divorce and matrimonial appraisals, estate and date-of-death valuations, bankruptcy proceedings, diminution of value assignments, and eminent domain-adjacent work.
Through years of reviewing appraisal reports, Lane has developed a thorough understanding of what separates a credible, defensible report from one that may not hold up to scrutiny. In a legal setting, that distinction is critical. In addition to appraisal assignments, Lane offers consulting services for attorneys and legal professionals including evaluation of whether an opposing appraisal meets minimum professional standards, litigation support, and preparation guidance for deposition and cross-examination of expert witnesses.
Lane currently serves as Vice President of the Louisiana Real Estate Appraiser Coalition, having previously served as Treasurer and Congressional District Representative for five years each. He is an active member of the Appraisal Institute at the state level and has previously served in national-level roles. He is a former member of his local MLS User Group committee.

LANE DUPLECHIN, SRA, RAA
Lane is a certified residential real estate appraiser and owner of Acadiana Appraisals & Consulting, LLC.
He was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University. In 2019, he achieved is SRA Designation with the Appraisal Institute.
Lane has extensive experience appraising properties in the parishes of Lafayette, Iberia, Vermilion, St. Landry, and St. Martin. Since 2013, he’s completed over 4,500 appraisals.
He’s actively involved with local, state, and national real estate and appraisal organizations. Lane achieved his RAA designation with the National Realtors Association and currently serves on the MLS User Group. He’s served as the Treasurer and Congressional District Representative for the Louisiana Real Estate Appraiser Coalition since 2020. Lane is also an active member of the national Appraisal Institute.
MELISSA DUPLECHIN, Operations Manager
Melissa manages the office and administrative tasks at Acadiana Appraisals & Consulting, LLC. She joined the team in 2021.
Melissa is originally from Lafayette. She received her bachelor and master’s degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Business Administration. Prior to joining Acadiana Appraisals & Consulting, Melissa worked in the Finance department at a local bank for 15 years.
